CHAPTER 277.
|
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to authorise the Commissioners of
Charlestown, in Cecil county, to sell to the
Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church,
in said town, a certain lot of ground, now oc-
cupied by said Church.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Commissioners of
Charlestown, in Cecil county be, and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to sell and
convey, by a good and sufficient deed, to the
Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church in
said town, and their successors, in trust, for the
use and benefit of the members of said Church,
the Southeast half of a public lot, adjoining
public lot number fifty-three, and running down
Market street four and a half perches, and run-
ning up Bladen street eleven and a half perches,
being the same lot now occupied in part by the
said Methodist Episcopal Church.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts incon-
sistent with this act be, and they are hereby re-
pealed, and that this act shall take effect from
and after the date of its passage.

AN ACT for the relief of John H. Sansbury, of
Prince George's County.
|

|
WHEREAS, at the last general election, John H.
Sansbury, of Prince George's county, received
a majority of votes as Clerk of the Circuit
Court for said county, and did pay into the
Treasury the sum of fifty dollars, as tax on his
commission, and the Court of Appeals hath
since decided that such election was void ;
