the balance remaining in the Treasury to its ac-
count to invest for the benefit of said fund to be
hereafter disposed of under the direction of the
General Assembly for building a warehouse or
warehouses in the city of Baltimore, for the ac-
commodation of the grain trade of this State.

SEC. 19. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
act shall be so construed as to take away from
any owner or owners of any grain, by written
order to his agent or consignee, desiring him to
sell without inspection, and deliver the same
without complying with the provisions of this
act.
|

SEC. 20. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the first of May next.

AN ACT to authorise the Comptroller to settle
the accounts of John Saxton, late collector of
direct tax, of Saint Mary's county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the
Treasury be and he is hereby authorised to settle
and adjust the accounts of John Saxton, late col-
lector of direct tax of St. Mary's county, and to
issue his warrant to the Treasurer for such sum
as may upon such settlement appear to be due
the said John Saxton.

take effect from and after the date of its passage.
