Act to be pub-
lished.
|
SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That it shall be
the duty of the Governor to cause this act to be
published once a week for three successive weeks
previous to the said fourth Wednesday of May
next, in one newspaper in each of the counties of
this State where a newspaper is published, and in
two newspapers published in the city of Balti-
more.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That the said Con-
vention, if it shall assemble in pursuance of this
act, shall have no power or authority, directly or
indirectly, in any manner whatsoever, to alter,
amend or change, or to recommend any altera-
tions, emendations or change, in any of those
parts, articles, sections or provisions of the ex-
isting Constitution and Bill of Rights, which re-
cognise, protect or establish the institution of ne-
gro slavery, and the relation of master and slave
in this State.

To take effect

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

AN ACT entitled an act to provide for the in-
spection, measuring and weighing of Grain in
the city of Baltimore.

ate, to appoint
Inspectors.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Governor of this State
shall annually appoint, by and with the advice
and consent of the Senate, one Inspector General
and four assistant Inspectors of Grain, in and
for the city of Baltimore, and who shall hold
their office for the period of one year from the
date of their appointment and qualification, and
until their successors be duly qualified; whose
duty it shall be to inspect all grain carried to the

than four successive years; And provided further,
