SEC. 4. Be it enacted. That in the execu-
tion of the powers conferred upon them by this
act, the Mayor and City Council shall have full
power and authority to prescribe the mode of as-
certaining the value in money of the several kinds
and descriptions of property above referred to.

vided, that nothing herein contained in this act
shall authorise the said Mayor and City Council
to assess and collect any tax on any property
which is now liable under existing laws in Balti-
more county, or any other county in this State.

SEC. 5. Be it enacted, That when the new as-
sessment is completed the same shall be charge-
able according to such valuation with the taxes
levied for the use of this State, which shall be
levied according to such new assessment.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

In force.

AN ACT to provide for the election of an addi-
tional Supervisor of Public Roads in the First
Election District in Worcester county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That at the next general election of
delegates, and at every general election thereafter,
there shall bo elected in the first election district
of Worcester county, by the qualified voters there-
of, two supervisors of public roads in said dis-
trict.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That one of said
persons elected as supervisor of public roads as
aforesaid, shall be a resident of that part of the
