LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Thomas H. Osborn, of Charles, former collector
of taxes in the third election district of Prince
George's county, by the act passed at January
session eighteen hundred and fifty-six, shall be
deemed, construed and taken to have been also
granted to the said Thomas H. Osborn, of Charles,
by the operation of said act, as well as to his
sureties in the said act described.

Released from
the payment of
interest.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Thomas
H. Osborn, of Charles, be and he is hereby re-
leased from the payment of interest on the State
claims against him as former collector, as describ-
ed in the first section of this act.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

CHAPTER 223.

AN ACT to incorporate "The Mutual Fire In-
surance Company of Kent Island, Queen Anne's
County.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Robert W. Eareckson,
Edward Hopkins, Thomas H. Kemp, William S.
Thompson, William Goldsborough, Charles Ste-
vens, Richard T. Carter, Samuel W. Carter.
Alexander W. Thompson, Charles E. Skinner,
James M. Stevens, and all other persons who
may hereafter associate with them in the manner
hereinafter prescribed be, and they are hereby in-
corporated by the name of "The Mutual Fire In-
surance Company of Kent Island," for the pur-
pose of insuring their respective dwelling houses,
manufactories, mills, stores, shops and other build-
ings, merchandise, household furniture, grain,
hay and other property, against loss or damage
by fire; and by such name shall have succession
to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, in
any court of law or equity in this State, to have,
