CHAPTER 24.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to provide for the transcribing of one
of the Record Books in the office of the Regis-
ter of Wills for Allegany county.
|

SECTION 1. Be. it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Register of Wills of Alle-
gany county, be and lie is hereby required to pro-
cure a new book, well bound for that purpose,
and to transcribe therein in a fair, plain and le-
gible hand, all the wills and other matters record-
ed in "Wills Liber A." one of the records in the
office of the Register of Wills, aforesaid, with
the proper and suitable indexes to the same, and
said new book when finished and completed, shall
and is hereby declared to be substituted in. the
place and stead of the old one, and the matter
and contents thereof shall be treated, considered
and held as valid and effectual in all respects as
were the matter and contents of the said original.

SEC. 2. And be if further enacted, That upon
completion of said Will Book, as hereinbefore pro-
vided for, and upon the approval and acceptance
of the same by the orphan's court of said county,
the commissioners of said county shall levy for
the use of the said Register, as other county
charges are now levied, such a sum of money as
the said transcribing shall amount to, at the rate
now by law allowed to Registers for recording
Wills and other matter.

SEC. 3. And be It further enacted, That this
act shall take effect immediately after its passage,
