AN ACT to refund James Higgins certain mon-
eys paid by him for the use and benefit of the
State.
|
|
|

thorised to pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State,
be and he is hereby authorised upon the warrant
of the Comptroller, to pay to the order of James
Higgins, the sum of seven hundred and forty dol-
lars, being the amount expended by said Higgins,
for the use and benefit of the State, in performing
duties imposed on him by law.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorise the clerk of the Circuit
Court for Kent county, to transcribe the gene-
ral indexes to the Land Records of the said
county, and to make and keep a general index
to the judgments and decrees of the said Cir-
cuit Court.

books.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the clerk of the Circuit
Court for Kent county, be and he is hereby autho-
rised and required to procure two books, in every
respect suitable to contain the general indexes to
the land records of Kent county, have each of said
books marked or labeled, "General Index to deeds
and Mortgages," and to transcribe into said books,
in a clear and legible hand, the present general
indexes to the aforesaid land records.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said
clerk be, and he hereby is authorised and required
to procure a book, suitable for a general index to
judgments and decrees, and to index in said book
|
