LAWS OF MARYLAND.

faith and order, did, at one of their church meet-
ings, appoint John B. Ensor, Joshua Plowman,
and James Blizzard, trustees thereof, who have
since commenced erecting thereon a suitable
meeting house for worship; Therefore,

Trustees ap-
pointed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the appointment of the
stud John B. Ensor, Joshua Plowman and James
Blizzard, as trustees as aforesaid, be and the same
is hereby ratified and confirmed, and that they
the said John B. Ensor, Joshua Plowman and
James Blizzard, and their successors, to be elected
agreeably to the rules and regulations of said
church, shall be and are hereby created and de-
clared to be a body politic and corporate by the
name, style and title of the Trustees of the Par-
ticular Baptist Gunpowder Church, of Carroll
county.

Invested with
power.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said John
B. Ensor, Joshua Plowman and James Blizzard,
and their successors, be and they are hereby in-
vested with the same rights, privileges and pow-
ers, which are granted to the said Thomas Lay-
man, John Perigoy and Benjamin Buckingham,
and their successors, by the said act of eighteen
hundred and twenty-eight, chapter nine.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to refund to James G. Henning and
William Thompson of R., sums of money er-
roneously paid into the Treasury, by the said
James G. Henning and William Thompson of
R., on their office, in the years eighteen hun-
dred and fifty-two and eighteen hundred and
fifty-three.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it appears to the General Assembly of
