CHAPTER 121.

AN ACT granting the assent of the Legislature
to bequests made in the last will of Rebecca
Ringgold, of Kent county, to the Trustees of
the Methodist Episcopal church, in Chester-
town, to the American Bible Society, and to the
Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal
church.

4, 1858.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the assent of the Legisla-
ture is hereby given to carry into effect certain
bequests in the last will and testament of Rebecca
Ringgold, late of Kent county, deceased, of a
legacy of two hundred dollars to the trustees of
the Methodist Episcopal church, in Chestertown,
to aid in building a new church or repairing the
old one, and the further sum of twelve dollars, to
be paid to said trustees, annually, out of the in-
come of her grand-daughter, Mary Rebecca Ring-
gold, until she shall arrive to the age of eighteen
years, and a legacy of one hundred and fifty dol-
lars to the Missionary Society of the Methodist
Episcopal church, incorporated by an act of the
Legislature of the State of New York, passed
April the ninth, eighteen hundred and thirty-
nine, and of a legacy of one hundred and fifty
dollars to the American Bible Society, formed in
New York, in the year eighteen hundred and six-
teen.

AN ACT to incorporate a Literary Society in the
city of Cumberland, Allegany county.
