LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 99.

Passed Feb-
ruary 24, 1858.

AN ACT to amend the acts passed December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty-three, chapter
one hundred and seventy-four, and December
session, eighteen hundred and forty-nine, chap-
ter three hundred and seventy-three, reducing
the tax on the auction licenses for Allegany
county, referred to in said acts.

Reduction of
licence.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That so much of the said acts
as require the sum of one hundred dollars, to be
paid for the auction licenses, or privileges men-
tioned in said acts, shall he and the same is hereby
so amended, as to reduce the said sum to fifty
dollars.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 100.

Passed Febru-
ary 26, 1858.

AN ACT relating to the public road dividing the
Counties of Somerset and Worcester.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That from and after the pas-
sage of this act, all able bodied men who are by
law compelled to perform road labor, residing on
the Worcester side of the public road, dividing
the counties of Somerset and Worcester, or within
one mile of said road, and not on any other pub-
lic road between the Southern boundary of the
State of Delaware and Humphreys Millpond, in
the town of Salisbury, shall and may perform
such road labor on said road, as may by them be
due on any road in the county of Worcester.

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts
of acts inconsistent with this act, be and they are
hereby repealed.
