CHAPTER 98.

AN ACT granting the leave of the Legislature,
to a bequest made in the last will and testament
of Leah Gale, late of Cecil county, deceased,
for the support of a minister of the Protestant
Episcopal Church, at Saint Mark's Chapel in
said county.

WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General
Assembly, that Leah Gale, late of Cecil county,
deceased, did by her last will and testament,
bequeath to Henry Chamberlain, Jr., the sum
of five hundred dollars, in trust, to invest the
same and apply the income thereof, to the sup-
port of a minister of the Protestant Episcopal
Church, officiating in Saint Mark's Chapel, in
said county, near the late residence of the said
Leah Gale; Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the leave of the Legisla-
ture is hereby given to carry into effect the be-
quest aforesaid, of the said Leah Gale, deceased,
and the said Henry Chamberlain, Jr., is hereby
authorised to receive the said sum of five hundred
dollars, in trust, and invest the same for the use
and purposes aforesaid, as in said last will set
forth.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.
