exceeding six dollars annually for each Primary
School in said county.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the School
Commissioners of said county be and they are
hereby authorised to demand and receive from the
county an adequate compensation for their ser-
vices, not exceeding two dollars per day for every
day they may be engaged in the discharge of their
duties as School Commissioners; Provided, how-
ever, that no one of said School Commissioners
shall receive pay for more than ten days in any
one year.

Compensation.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the provisions
of the act to which this is a supplement, as well
as the provisions of the several acts now in force
in reference to the Primary Schools of said coun-
ty, inconsistent with this act be and the same are
hereby repealed.

Repealed.

CHAPTER 95.

AN ACT to incorporate the Maryland Club.

Passed Febru-
ary 24, 1858.

WHEREAS, an association of Citizens has been
formed in the city of Baltimore, under the title
of the Maryland Club, having for its object the
promotion of regulated social intercourse among
its members, and the extension of hospitable
courtesies to strangers; And whereas, said asso-
ciation has applied, for an act of incorporation
in order that thereby its continued existence
may be rendered more secure, and that it may
be enabled to carry out with greater efficiency
the objects for which it was formed; Therefore,

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That J. N. Bonaparte, S. W.
Smith, John P. Kennedy, J. Hanson Thomas,
S. Owings Hoffman, Thomas Swann, A. Schu-
macker, William McKim, George W. Dobbin,
John S. Donnell, John B. Morris, Charles Car-
roll of D., Charles E. Carroll, Otho H. Williams,
William H. Brune, Columbus O'Donnell, Wil-
