man of Washington City, District of Columbia, and
also her children, Bernard Jones and Ella Jones, of
the District of Columbia, may be and are hereby at
liberty to return to the State of Maryland, and there-
after be entitled to the same rights and privileges as
the free colored population are now entitled to under
the laws of this State.

AN ACT to authorise the county commissioners of
Kent county to rehear and examine the return of
commissioners appointed to locate a public road
from the public road leading to Belle-Air to the
landing of James F. Brown's heirs and devisees,
so far as the question of damages is involved, and
to authorise appeals to the Circuit Court by the
parties interested.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners for
Kent county, be authorised and required to rehear
and re-examine the question of damages or compen-
sation in the case of sundry citizens' petition, and
the return of commissioners to locate a public road
leading from the main road leading to Belle-Air
through the lands of John Thomas' heirs, J. Fletch-
er Ringgold, Win. Thos. Baker, William J. Stone
and others, to the North-West prong of Langford's
Bay, on the property of Mrs. Ann Brown, or J. F.
Brown, dec'd, heirs or devisees, and after notice
to the parties through the county paper or otherwise,
to decide such question, and allow such damages or
compensation to the parties interested as they may
deem right and proper under the circumstances, and
to levy such damages as they may deem expedient,
and that any of the parties interested shall have the
right of appeal to the next Circuit Court for said
county, if taken within one month after such decision
