LAWS OF MARYLAND.

gine and hose belonging to the State; for payment
of Chaney and Pritchard, for labor and materials fur-
nished and expenses incurred in repairs of State
property; for payment of John W. Da vis for repair-
ing desks in House of Delegates chamber, and other
State property, and for cutting and putting down
carpets and oil cloth; for payment of James H.
League, for work and labor and materials furnished in
repairs of State property; for payment of Dixon,
Balbirnie & Co., for sketches of plan, and estimates,
&c., relative to the erection of a fire proof building
for the State, for the preservation of its records, &c.,
for payment of James Hopkins for work and labor
and materials furnished in repairs of State property,
for payment of Noah Porter for work and labor in
and for the Court of Appeals room, and for repairs
of State property; for payment of John T. Watkins
for seventy four chairs for the chamber of the House
of Delegates, and for freight thereon; for payment of
J. Wesley White for oil and candles and other arti-
cles furnished for the use of the State; and for pay-
ment of James H. Iglehart for carpet for House of
Delegates chamber and for other articles furnished
for the use of the State; and for payment of Jesse Hay
for paving O'Donnell's wharf.

Treasurer to
pay.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of
the State shall upon the warrant of the Comptroller
of the Treasury Department, pay for the objects a-
foresaid to the following named persons or to their
order, the suras of money hereinafter stated, to wit :
to James Murray, fifty dollars and sixty seven cents;
to Thomas A. Mitchell, twenty eight dollars and
thirty seven cents; to Samuel S. Riley, seventy dol-
lars; to Chaney and Prichard, fifteen dollars; to John
W. Davis, one hundred and fifty five dollars and
thirty seven cents; to James H. League, seven dol-
lars and twenty five cents; to Dixon, Balbirnie, & Co.,
seventy five dollars; to James Hopkins, eight dollars
and eighteen cents; to Noah Porter, twelve dollars
and eighty seven cents; to John T. Watkins, two
hundred and twenty six dollars and sixty two cents;
to J. Wesley White, three hundred and seventy four
dollars and sixty seven cents; and to James H. Igle-
hart, five hundred and sixty four dollars and eighty
five cents, and to Jesse Hay, one hundred and eighty
one dollars.

In force.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
