making of said Rail Road, and the construction of
works connected therewith; and after having made a
fair and just comparison of the advantages and disad-
vantages arising from the said Railroad, they shall es-
timate and determine whether any, and if any, what
amount of damages has been or may be sustained by
the said owner or owners respectively, and make
report thereof accordingly, and damages shall, in no
case, be allowed except to the owners or owner of
such lands or materials which said company may
enter upon, use or take away.

Repealed.
|
SEC. 5. And be if enacted, That any provision of
the act to which this is a supplement, passed at Jan-
uary session, eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chap-
ter three hundred and twenty-six, that is inconsistent
herewith is hereby repealed.

|
In force.
|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the repayment to the Messrs.
Baring, Brothers and Company, of certain moneys
advanced by them on account of the State of Ma-
ryland.
|
|
|
Treasurer to
pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer of this State is
hereby authorized to pay on the warrant of the
Comptroller, to Messrs. Baring, Brothers and Com-
pany, the sum of two hundred and thirty eight pounds
ten shillings and seven pence, it being the balance
due them on their advance to pay interest on the
Bonds of the State, beyond the amount provided by
the State; and the sum of one thousand, one hundred
and sixty six dollars and twelve cents, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated
for that purpose.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.
