254. An act amendatory of an act passed January session, eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-three, chapter eighty, entitled, an act to
amend the act entitled, an act for clearing out Pocomoke river in
Worcester county, by means of a lottery, passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and forty, chapter two hundred and fif-
teen.
255. An act to refund to Francis J. Henry, Thomas H. Hicks,
Edward D. Martin, George B. Gray, Jacob Fisher, J. Frisby
Gordon, H. H. Mitchell, James H. Jamar, Timothy A. Smith,
John Palmer, Joseph Stuart, C. W. Billingslea, A. Lingan Jar-
rett, James Wason, Isaac Nesbitt, Benjamin E. Gannt, Levin
Wolford, and Samuel W. Jones, the several sums of money er-
roneously paid into the treasury by the said parties as taxes, in
the year eighteen hundred and fifty-two, and part of eighteen
hundred and fifty-three.
256. An act to incorporate a company under the name of the
Hydrant Company of Port Tobacco.
257. An additional supplement to the act entitled, an act in-
corporating the Master and Wardens of Clinton Lodge, number
eighty-three, of the free and accepted Masons, for the purposes
therein mentioned, passed at December session, eighteen hundred
and twenty-six, chapter one hundred and forty-three.
258. An act to make valid the official bond of William G. Nich-
olson, Register of Wills of Caroline county.
259. An act amendatory of an act passed at January session,
eighteen hundred and fifty-four, chapter one hundred and nine,
entitled, an act to .alter and amend the charter of the Hagerstown
Savings' Institution, by allowing its corporate name to be changed,
and to discount foreign bills of exchange.
260. An act to incorporate the White Hall, Jarrettsville and
La Grunge Turnpike. Company.
261. An act amendatory of an act passed at January session,
1854, chapter 249, entitled, an act for the relief of the sureties on
the bonds of John W. Baker, former collector of Montgomery
county.
262. An act to enable William Crane, and others, trustees of the
Saratoga Street African Baptist Church in Baltimore city, to exe-
cute a deed of certain property therein mentioned.
263. An act to incorporate the Central and South American
Trading Company.
264. A further supplement to the act passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and twenty-five, chapter sixty-two, entitled,
an act to provide for the public instruction of youth in primary
schools throughout this State, so far as relates to Dorchester coun-
ty.
