sary for the repair of the road in such district, under
a penalty of not over two dollars per day for each
laborer, refused or neglected to be sent under such
requirement; and whenever any penalty as above is
incurred, the county commissioners aforesaid shall
add the same to the other taxes of the taxable so
fined, to be collected as other taxes.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That upon complaint,

on oath, of any citizen, that any part of the road in
Charles county, is and has been, for the space of ten
days, out of repair, and the supervisor is not repair-
ing and has not repaired the same, and the county
commissioners, before whom the said complaint shall
be made, are satisfied that the road supervisor over
the road complained of has neglected to repair the
same, the said county commissioners shall have full
power and authority to fine the said supervisor not
Jess than five nor more than fifty dollars, for every
such neglect, and reserve the same from any salary or
compensation provided for the said supervisor.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That all fines and for-
feitures hereafter incurred for neglect in repairing
roads, shall be collected and paid to the county com-
missioners of Charles county, and not to the State.

away, J. Murray, Nicholas Brewer, Mary Sullivan,
Reiley & Ridgely, John Smith, Rachel A. Brewer,
