four hundred and sixty dollars and seventy-six cents;
($460.76,) &c.; for the use of the Insane Hospital,
fifteen thousand dollars; for furl for the State House,
twelve hundred dollars.

disburse.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of
the State shall upon the warrant of the Comptroller
of the Treasury Department, disburse the said sums
of money hereinbefore appropriated for the objects
and purposes specified to or upon the order of (he
person or persons, bodies politic or corporate, sever-
ally entitled thereto, and that the several public offi-
cers to whom the same or any part thereof may be
paid, shall render quarterly to the Comptroller ac-
counts of the expenditure thereof, with the proper
vouchers thereof ratified by affidavit, excepting such
part thereof as may be disbursed out of the execu-
tive contingent fund upon the order of the Governor,
and such further part thereof as may be paid for or
on account of salaries fixed by the constitution and
the laws of this State.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to amend the act entitled, an act to pro-
vide for the election of Road Supervisors in the sev-
eral counties of this State, passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chapter
three hundred.

Duty of Road
Supervisors.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the several road supervisors in
Charles county be and they are hereby required, at all
times, when the roads in their respective election dis-
tricts require repair, to notify the taxable inhabitants
in said districts to furnish the necessary labor, carts,
ploughs, teams and materials.
