SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said Mayor
and Common Council shall have power to pass all
ordinances necessary to regulate or prevent the going
at large of swine, to tax, regulate, restrain, or pre-
vent the going at large of dogs, anil to provide for kill-
ing the same in default of the payment of such fine
or tax as may be laid by such ordinance.

the rules of practice and pleadings, &c.; and for
the relief of Thomas E. Martin, for Legislative
printing.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer, be and he is here-
by authorised and required upon the warrant of the
Comptroller, to pay to William Weber, the sum of
three hundred and twenty-two dollars, ($322 00;) to
John D. Toy, the sum of seven hundred and sixteen
dollars and sixty cents, ($716 60;) and to Schley &
Haller the sum of six hundred dollars, ($600 00;)
for printing the reports of the commissioners to revise,
simplify and abridge, the rules of practice and plead-
ings; and to Thomas E. Martin, the sum of one
hundred and thirty-four dollars and fifty cents,
($134 50;) for Legislative printing for the year
eighteen hundred and fifty-four.
