AN ACT to authorise the devises or bequests of
Mary E. A. Reed, of Caroline county, to the
trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church of
Greensboro', and the vestry of the Protestant Epis-
copal Church of St. John's Parish, both in said
county.

WHEREAS, Mary E. A. Reed late of Caroline coun-
ty, deceased, devised in her last will and testament
dated the fifteenth day of March, in the year eigh-
teen hundred and forty-seven; two hundred dollars
to the Methodist Episcopal Church at Greensboro'
in said county, upon a certain contingency in said
will expressed, as well also, after various other
devises and bequests therein named, all the re-
maining portion of her property to be equally di-
vided between the Protestant Episcopal Church of
St. John's Parish, and the aforesaid Methodist
Episcopal Church at Greensboro', both in said
county; therefore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from the passage of this act, the leave of the
Legislature shall be and is hereby given to carry
into effect the devises or bequests of the said Mary
E. A. Reed, late of Caroline county, deceased, in
favor of the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal
Church of Greensboro'; and the vestry of the Pro-
testant Episcopal Church of St. John's Parish, both
in said county, and the executors or administrators
of said Mary, are hereby authorised and directed to
pay over the same to said trustees and vestry whenev-
er they shall be thereunto requested.
