AN ACT appropriating a sum of money for the use
of John Palmer.
|
|
|
Treasurer to
pay.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the treasurer is hereby required
on the warrant of the Comptroller, to pay to John
Palmer or his order; twenty-two dollars and twenty-
five cents, being the amount due him as clerk of the
circuit court for Queen Anne's county, by the State
of Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from its passage.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Baltimore
Copper Smelting Company.
|
|
|
Capital stock
augmented.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That from and after the first day
of April next, the capital stock of the Baltimore
Copper Smelting Company, shall be augmented to a
sum not exceeding six hundred thousand dollars, the
present capital being four hundred thousand dollars,
as provided in the third section of the charter of said
corporation, passed at December session eighteen
hundred and forty-nine.

take effect from the day of its passage.
