said county, in such proportions and under such reg-
ulations as they, the said commissioners may think

AN ACT to provided for the payment of legal fees
due to James L. Martin, for services rendered as
prosecuting attorney.
|

WHEREAS, James L. Martin, by the direction of
the Governor of this State, assisted the Prosecutor
of Caroline county, in the prosecution of Theo-
dore R. Lockerman, put upon bis trial in said
county for an assault with Intent to murder; and
whereas the said Martin, also assisted the Prose-
cutor of Dorchester county, in the prosecution of
Solomon T. Willson put upon his trial in said
county for homicide; and whereas it is right and
proper that the said Martin should be remunerated
for the services thus rendered; therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of three hundred and
fifty dollars, be and the same is hereby appropriated
to the payment of the claim of James L. Martin, for
services rendered by him, as attorney for the State,
in Caroline and Dorchester counties; and the Comp-
troller is hereby directed and empowered to draw
on the treasurer for said amount.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
