be held at their office on the seventh day of April,
eighteen hundred and fifty-six, of the time of which
meeting, notice shall be given by the Secretary by
publication inserted in two or more of the newspa-
pers of Frederick county, at least two weeks prior to
said day, and if adopted by a majority of the votes,
according to the ratio of voting prescribed by the by-
laws, shall take effect from said day.

CHAPTER 30.

AN ACT to make valid a deed from Benjamin
G. Fitzhugh and wife, Peregrine Fitzhugh and
wife, and John C. Fitzhugh and wife, to the Min-
eral Bank of Maryland and Normand Bruce, bear-
ing date fourteenth day of July, eighteen hundred and
fifty-three, and recorded in Liber, H R, No. thir-
teen, folio, five hundred and nineteen, &c., one of
the land records of Allegany county.

Passed Feb.
27, 1856.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the deed from Benjamin G. Fitz-
hugh and wife, Peregrine Fitzhugh and wife, and
John C. Fitzhugh and wife, to the Mineral Bank of
Maryland and Normand Bruce, bearing date upon
the fourteenth of July, eighteen hundred and fifty-
three, and recorded in Liber HR, No. thirteen, folios
five hundred and nineteen, &c., one of the land re-
cords of Allegany county, be and the same is hereby
made as valid and effectual as if the ackowledgement
thereof by John C. Fitzhugh and Ellen his wife, had
been duly made before and certified to by a judge of
a court of record and of law, and had annexed to
such certificates the proper certificate of the clerk
of such court, in due form of law.

Made valid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from and after its passage.
