CHAPTER 199.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to authorise the county commissioners of
Charles county to sell and dispose of certain ware-
house properly in said county.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the county commissioners of
Charles county, be and they are hereby authorised
to sell and dispose of all the right, interest and
property of said county, i;i and to the various tobacco
inspection or Warehouses in said county, and all the
lands, fixtures, outbuildings, and appurtenances thereto,
and the same, and any part thereof, or wheresoever
situated in said county, to convey in absolute fee
simple to the bona fide purchasers thereof.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said county com-
missioners shall, before they make sale of any of the
aforesaid property give at least thirty days public
notice of the times, places, and terms of every such
sale, by advertisement in any newspaper published in
the town of Port Tobacco, and by written or printed
advertisement stuck up at the post office or store-
house nearest to the site of each particular warehouse
to be sold.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That said commis-
sioners be and they are hereby authorised and direct-
ed to apply the proceeds of every such sale, deduct-
ing the necessary expenses thereof in aid of the funds
raised, and in easement of the ordinary levy made
upon said county for county purposes.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted. This act shall take ef-
fect and be in force from and alter the day of its final
passage by the Legislature.
