CHAPTER 187.

AN ACT to allow Walter Mitchell, former Clerk of
Charles county court, further time to complete his
collections.

Passed Mar.
8, 1856.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the time allowed by law to Wal-
ter Mitchell, former Clerk of Charles county court, to
collect all fees due to him as Clerk of said county
court, during the several years the said Mitchell was
Clerk as aforesaid, and now due and uncollect-
ed, be and the same is hereby extended until
the first day of January in the year eighteen hundred
and fifty-eight.

Time exten-
ded.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.


CHAPTER 188.

In force,

AN ACT entitled tin act to make to make valid a
deed from the Llangollen Mining Company to John
Crawford.

Passed Mar.

8, 1856.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, that on the twentieth day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and fifty-four, the Llangol-
len Mining Company executed their deed to John
Crawford, of Allegany county, purporting to con-
vey a certain parcel of land, lying and being in
Allegany county, and which said deed was regu-
larly recorded in liber H. R., No. 12, folio 181,
one of the land records of said county; and which
said deed is signed by Clement March, President
of said Mining Company, and the corporate seal
of said Mining Company affixed by the said
President; and whereas, doubts exist as to
the validity of said deed, by reason of certain de-
fects in the acknowledgment of the said deed ;
therefore,
