At a session of the General Assembly of Maryland, begun and
held at the City of Annapolis, on the first Wednesday of Jan-
uary, being the second day of said month, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six, and ended
the tenth day of March of said year;

CHAPTER 1.
AN ACT to increase the pay for labor on the public
roads in Talbot County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That for the purpose of securing labor
on the public roads in Talbot county, the county com-
missioners for said county, be and they are hereby au-
thorised to allow such laborers the sum of one dollar per
day.
