SEC. 2. And Be it enacted, That the Commission-
ers aforesaid, shall make a written statement of their
proceedings defining the position of said dividing
line, and return the same to the Clerk of Allegany
County Court, to be by him recorded.

SEC. 3. And he it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Allegany county, be and they are here-
by required at their next annual levy, to levy such
sum of money as shall be sufficient to defray the ex-
penses of running and marking said District line, al-
so to defray the expenses of recording by the County
Clerk;, Provided, the sum allowed to the Commis-
sioners aforesaid, shall not exceed the sum of two
dollars and fifty cents per day; and, Provided also,
That the sum so levied shall not exceed twenty-five
dollars.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That all acts, or parts,
of acts, inconsistent with the provisions of this act,
be and they are hereby repealed.

Repealed.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 157.

In force.

AN ACT entitled an act to authorise the County
Commissioners of Kent county, in this State, to
to make, establish, alter, and close public landing
places within the bounds of said county.

Passed Mar.
8, 1856.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That hereafter it shall and may be
lawful for the County Commissioners of Kent county,
in (his State, on petition in writing by any persons in-
terested, to appoint three persons as examiners in
cases where a public landing is desired to be made,
established, altered, or closed; Provided, said persons
have given thirty days previous notice, in the same
manner as is required on applications for opening,
altering, or closing any road or roads.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the oath, qualifi-
cation, and duties of examiners appointed under this
act, shall be the same, and be discharged in the same
