CHAPTER. 155.

Passed Mar.
8, 1856.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to Na-
thaniel Duke, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Calvert
county, for certain fees due him by the State.

Treasurer au-
thorised to pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

of Maryland, That the Treasurer, upon the warrant
of the Comptroller, be and he is hereby author,
ised and directed to pay to the order of Nathaniel
Duke, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Calvert county,
the sum of one hundred and thirty-two dollars and
seventy-six cents, being the amount of certain fees
due him by the State for the years of eighteen hun-
dred and fifty-three, and eighteen hundred and fifty-
four, and eighteen hundred and fifty-five.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 156.

Passed Mar.
8, 1856.

AN ACT entitled an act 10 change the line dividing
Election District No. 3, from District No. 5, in Al-
legany county.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General As-
sembly by sundry citizens of election District
No. 3, in Allegany county, that their conve-
venience will be greatly promoted by change in
the line dividing said District from District No. 5 ;
Therefore,

Commission-
ers appointed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Stephen Stocks, David Maho-
ney and Joseph Keller, be and they are hereby ap-
pointed Commissioners to change and run out the
line between said Election District in such manner
as to them shall seem right and proper; commencing
at some point on Savage River, thence by a straight
line near Mr. Recknor's tavern, on the National road,
to a point on the Pennsylvania State Line.
