changed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said body
politic and corporate shall, by its said name, to wit:
"Ocean Steam Coal Company," exercise all its cor-
porate rights, powers, privileges and franchises as
fully, and to the same extent, as it might and could
have done by its aforesaid original corporate name;
and that all property and rights heretofore acquired
in its said original corporate name, shall be held, used
and applied under its said name, to wit: " Ocean
Steam Coal Company," in the same manner, and
for the same purposes, as property and rights to be
hereafter acquired, may be done.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day on which it may be passed.

AN ACT for the benefit of the infant children of
David Dryden of Somerset county.
|

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, that David Dryden, late of Somerset county,
died, intestate, leaving a widow Sarah Dryden,
who has since died intestate, and four infant children,
one of whom Harriet Olivia, has since died intes-
tate, leaving three surviving children of said David
and Sarah; And whereas, the negroes belonging
to the estate of said David Dryden, are young
and valuable, and the interests of said three minors
would be promoted by a specific allotment of said
negroes between them; Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Orphans' Court of Som-
erset county are hereby empowered, upon the return
of any commission which has issued or may issue
from said Court, to divide the negroes of said David
Dryden, to ratify and legalize an apportionment of
said negroes, among said three minors, notwithstand-
ing there may be a direction in said return that one
