CHAPTER 126.

AN ACT granting the leave of the Legislature to
the devise and bequest made by Levi Hilleary,
late of Allegany county, deceased, to the Vestry
of Emmanuel Parish, and also to the devise and
bequest made by the said testator to John Hays,
in trust, as declared in the will of said testator.

Passed Mar,
8, 1856.

WHEREAS, Levi Hilleary, late of Allegany county,
deceased, did by his last will and testament, devise
and bequeath to the Vestry of Emmanuel Parish
of the Protestant Episcopal Church, in said coun-
ty, the sum of five hundred dollars, and did also
devise and bequeath the sum of one hundred dol-
lars to John Hays, in trust for the Sunday School
attached to the Methodist Episcopal Church of
Cumberland; Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the leave of the Legislature be ;
and is hereby given and granted to the devises and
bequests aforesaid, and that the legal representatives
of the said testator forthwith pay said devises and
bequests as directed by their said testator.

SEC, 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day on which it may be passed.

CHAPTER 127.

In force.

AN ACT to authorise the Commissioners appointed
under the act of eighteen hundred and twenty,
chapter one hundred and ninety-one, to compel
the purchasers at their sales to comply with the
terms of sale, or in case of refusal or neglect, to re-
sell the property and enforce payment for the dif-
ference.

8, 1856.
