To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, Blanchard Randall, Secretary of State of the State of
Maryland, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 210 of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) DO
Hereby certify, That at a Special Referendum Election held in the
11th Election District of Prince George's County, Maryland, on Tues-
day, October 18, 1955, an Act known as Chapter 420 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1955, was submitted to the voters of the
11th Election District of Prince George's County, Maryland, for their
adoption or rejection under the provisions of Chapter 420 of the
Acts of 1955, said Act being as follows:

"An Act to add a new sub-section to Section 656 of the Code to
be known as sub-section (n) and to follow immediately after
sub-section (m) thereof, relating to the fire tax and division
of proceeds thereof, in the Eleventh Election District in Prince
George's County."

and I DO certify, that at such election 197 votes were cast in
favor of the adoption of Chapter 420 of the Acts of 1955, and 27
tybtes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter 420, and a
majority of the votes being cast in favor of the adoption of Chapter
420 of the Acts of 1955, the said Act has been ratified by the voters
<)f the 11th Election District of Prince George's County, Maryland.
