sion to said games be charged. In the event admission fees are charged
no such sporting event shall be conducted on Sunday prior to the hour
of 1:00 o'clock P.M.
(b) Nothing contained in Section 578 of this Article shall be
construed to prohibit or make unlawful in Harford County on Sunday
the operation of a swimming pool or beach, a roller or ice skating
rink or the exhibition of motion pictures; provided that no such
operations shall be conducted prior to the hour of 1:00 o'clock P.M.
on Sunday. The work or employment of the operator of such activi-
ties or of his agents pursuant to the terms of this Section shall not
be unlawful because of performance on Sunday.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 114 (g)
of Article 66l/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Motor Vehicle Financial Respon-
sibility", relating to the furnishing of financial responsibility by
certain owners and operators of motor vehicles in interstate and
intrastate use.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 114 (g) of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Motor
Vehicle Financial Responsibility", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, and to read as follows:
114.
(g) This section shall not apply to the owners and operators of
motor vehicles engaged in the transportation of passengers or prop-
erty, subject to the jurisdiction of the Public Service Commission of
Maryland, who operate 50 or more motor vehicles and have shown
to the satisfaction of said Commission, during a continuous operation
of at least five years duration, that they are financially qualified to
respond in damages to at least the extent required of other motor
vehicle operators by Sections 114 to 145, inclusive, of this Article,
or to the owners and operators of motor vehicles operating under
certificate or permit of the Interstate Commerce Commission who file
[blanket insurance] with the Department of Motor Vehicles [, the
filing of which shall be construed as full compliance with this sec-
tion.] an affidavit to the effect that their operations are solely inter-
state under the authority of the Interstate Commerce Commission.
