(House Bill 579)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 250 (e)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition
and 1954 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title
"Orphans' Court", relating to the allowance for traveling expenses
for the judges of the Orphans' Court of Queen Anne's County, and
correcting an error therein.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 250 (e) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition and 1954 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law",
sub-title "Orphans' Court", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

250.

(e) Compensation and travel allowance in certain counties.—Each
of the judges of the orphans' court for Carroll, Charles, Dorchester,
Howard, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Wicomico and [Worchester]
Worcester counties shall receive the sum of eight dollars ($8.00) for
every day's attendance upon the sessions of said court. The judges of
the orphans' court for [Queen Anne's,] Dorchester and [Worchester]
Worcester counties shall receive an allowance for traveling expenses
of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per year, to be paid
quarterly by the county commissioners of the respective counties.
The Judges of the Orphans' Court for Queen Anne's County shall
receive an allowance for traveling expenses of four Hundred and
Fifty Dollars ($4,50.00) per year. The judges of the orphans' court
for Howard County shall receive an allowance for traveling expenses
of

THREE HUNDRED
AND THIRTY-SIX DOLLARS ($336.00) per year. The judges of
the orphans' court for Somerset County shall receive an allowance of
four dollars and fifty cents ($4.50) for mileage for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1,1955.
