by the Comptroller, shall be executed by a surety company duly
authorized to do business in this State, and shall be conditioned
upon the payment of all taxes, penalties and interest imposed by this
article upon the sale or delivery of wines and liquors, and generally
upon the faithful compliance with the provisions of this article. In
the event that, pursuant to the provisions of § 129 of this subtitle,
certificates or stamps denoting the payment of taxes on alcoholic
beverages except beer are furnished by the Comptroller on credit in
an amount in excess of five thousand dollars ($5,000), such manu-
facturer or wholesaler shall file an additional bond in the same man-
ner and form in an amount not less than the amount of such excess.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 505
(House Bill 578)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 184 of
Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), as amended by Chapter 453 of the Acts of 1951, title
"Queen Anne's County", sub-title "County Commissioners", re-
lating to the expenses of the County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 184 of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), as amended by Chapter 453 of the Acts
of 1951, title "Queen Anne's County", sub-title "County Commis-
sioners", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

184. The County Commissioners for Queen Anne's County shall
meet as often as they may deem necessary; provided, that they shall
hold not less than one meeting in each week, and each of said County
Commissioners shall receive as compensation for his services a sum
not exceeding five hundred dollars per year. In addition each Com-
missioner shall receive [one thousand Dollars ($1,000.00)] One
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00)
each year for traveling
and other expenses in the performance of his duties.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1955.

Approved April 18, 1955.
