tions", relating to the name of the Board of License Commis-
sioners in Allegany County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (n) of Section 2 of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-
title "Definitions", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

(n). "Club" means an association or corporation, which is organ-
ized and operated exclusively for educational, social, fraternal,
patriotic, political or athletic purposes and not for profit. In Alle-
gany County the Board of Alcoholic Beverages License Commis-
sioners shall be the judges of whether such an establishment is
operated in good faith within the meaning of this sub-section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having been
passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly
of Maryland, the same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

(Senate Bill 461)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 149 of Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1954 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Boards of License
Commissioners", said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section
(bb) and to follow immediately after Sub-section (b) thereof,
relating to the office of Alcoholic Beverage Inspectors for Alle-
gany County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section 149 of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and
1954 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Boards
of License Commissioners", said new sub-section to be known as
Sub-section (bb) and to follow immediately after Sub-section (b)
thereof, and to read as follows:

(bb) (Allegany County) The inspectors appointed for Allegany
County shall have all the powers of a Peace Officer or a Constable
or Sheriff of the State of Maryland, and shall make oath to faith-
