(Senate Bill 57)
AN ACT to add new Section 102 (c) to Article 66 1/2 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1?51 Edition and 1954 Supplement),
title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Administration—Registration—
Titling", to follow immediately after Section 102 (b) thereof, pro-
viding for mandatory refusal or revocation by the Department
of Motor Vehicles of an operator's or chauffeur's license of a
person legally adjudicated insane.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 102 (c) be and it is hereby added to Article 66 1/2
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition and 1954 Supple-
ment) , title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Administration—Registra-
tion—Titling", to follow immediately after Section 102 (b) thereof,
and to read as follows:

(c) The Department shall forthwith refuse or FORTHWITH
revoke the operator's or chauffeur's license of any person who has
been legally adjudicated as insane, and no license shall be issued to
such person until such insanity has terminated.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 425
(Senate Bill 73)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 70 (b)
of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title "State Accident Fund",
providing that present superintendent of the State Accident Fund
and his successor shall be subject to the provisions of Article 64A
of the Code, entitled "Merit System".
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 70 (b) of Article 101 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1951 Edition), title "Workmen's Compensation", sub-title
"State Accident Fund", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
70.
(b). The Commissioners of the State Accident Fund shall appoint
a Superintendent and an Assistant Superintendent to assist him in
