the rights of any bona fide purchasers or creditors, without notice,
who become so prior to June 1, [1954] 1955.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 402
(House Bill 694)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section (a)
of Section 22 of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Juries," sub-title "Qualification and Selection
of Jurors," relating to the compensation of jurors in Worcester
County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (a) of Section 22 of Article 51 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Juries," sub-title "Qualification and
Selection of Jurors," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
22.
(a) Jurors in Anne Arundel and Washington Counties shall receive
Six Dollars per day, in Worcester County, Seven Dollars and Fifty
Cents per day and in all other counties, except Allegany County, Five
Dollars per day for each and every day they shall attend the several
courts of this State as jurors and Fifteen Cents for each mile over
five miles for going to and returning from the court, once in each
term, to be paid by the Counties, respectively, in which courts are
held. Jurors in Baltimore City shall receive such compensation as
shall be provided in the Ordinance of Estimates of said City each
year.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
