food Commodities", authorizing and empowering the Governor to
designate a department, agency or agencies of the State to accept
surplus food commodities appropriated and available to the State
of Maryland under the provisions of any Act of the Congress of
the United States relating to surplus food commodities and to man-
age and dispose of the same in accordance with Federal Law.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section be added to Article 41 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Governor—Executive and Adminis-
trative Departments", said new section to follow immediately after
Section 79 of said Article, to be known as Section 79A, to be under
a new sub-title to be known as "Federal Surplus food Commodities",
and to read as follows:
Federal Surplus food Commodities
79A. The Governor is hereby authorized and empowered to desig-
nate such Department, agency or agencies of the State as may, in
his discretion, seem advisable to accept any and all allotments of
surplus food commodities appropriated and available to the State
of Maryland under the provisions of any Act of the Congress of the
United States relating to surplus food commodities and to manage
and dispose of the same in such manner as may be required or au-
thorized by Federal Law.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 44, 45, 46, 47 (as repealed and re-enacted
by Chapter 33 of the Acts of 1951), 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 and 54 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore County, 1948 Edition,
title "County Commissioners", sub-title "Budget", said sections
relating to the Budget of Baltimore County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 44, 45, 46, 47 (as repealed and re-enacted by Chapter 33
of the Acts of 1951), 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, 53 and 54 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore County, 1948 Edition, title "County Commis-
sioners", sub-title "Budget", be and the same are hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
