SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That Section 68A be and it is
hereby added to Article 101 of said Code, title "Workmen's compensa-
tion", said new section to follow immediately after Section 68 thereof
and to be under the sub-title "Miscellaneous", and to read as follows:
68A. The Industrial Accident Commission is hereby authorized
and directed to pay the costs of administering the occupational health
and safety program under the Commissioner of Labor and Industry,
as provided for in Article 89 of this Code.
SEC. 4. And be it further enated, That the staff, equipment,
records and property of the Safety Division of the Industrial Acci-
dent Commission be and the same are hereby transferred to the
Commissioner of Labor and Industry, to be used for the industrial
safety program provided hereinabove in this Act. The
personnel hereby transferred from the Industrial Accident Commis-
sion to the Commissioner of Labor and Industry shall have the same
status as all other Merit System employees originally employed by
the Commissioner of Labor and Industry; AND SUCH PERSONNEL
SHALL BE EMPLOYED BY THE COMMISSIONER OF LABOR
AND INDUSTRY IN AT LEAST THE SAME CLASSIFICATION
AND AT NOT LESS THAN THE SAME COMPENSATION AS
SUCH PERSONNEL WAS EMPLOYED BY THE INDUSTRIAL
ACCIDENT COMMISSION; and the equipment, records and prop-
erty hereby transferred from the Industrial Accident Commission
to the Commissioner of Labor and Industry shall be treated and con-
sidered as if originally procured and obtained by the Department of
Labor and Industry.

And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1955.
