(1951 Edition and 1954 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "Rights and Duties of Licensees", be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

71. (Transfer of Licenses.) (a) Any holder of a license under
the provisions of this Article including a receiver or trustee for the
benefit of creditors, may be permitted to transfer his place of business
to some other location and/or sell or assign said license and his stock
in trade to another person, provided that application for such trans-
fer and/or sale shall be made, and that a bulk sales permit is obtained
where the stock of [acoholic] alcoholic beverages is to be sold, and
the new location and/or assignee shall be approved as in the case of
an original application for such license. Such transfer and/or assign-
ment when made shall be endorsed upon the license by the official
issuing the same, upon the payment of a fee of one dollar ($1.00)
in addition to the costs of publication and notice, which shall be
paid at the time of the filing of the application for the transfer
and/or sale. This section shall permit the transfer of location and
the assignment of license in the same application.

(b)    (Allegany County.) In Allegany County, the holder of any
license issued under this Article shall not be permitted to sell, assign
and/or otherwise transfer such license to another person. If any
such holder of a license shall for any reason discontinue the use
thereof, said license shall revert to the Board. Thereafter, the Board
shall treat the said license in all respects as if it had not previously
been issued and reverted, and may issue it to another licensee, or
not so issue it, in their discretion, agreeably to the provisions of this
Article relating to the issue of licenses for the retail sale of alcoholic
beverages. Provided, that nothing in this sub-section shall be con-
strued to extend to the disposal of a license by reason of the death
of the licensee, but any such contingency shall be covered by the pro-
visions of Section 75 of this sub-title.

(c)    (Prince George's County.) In Prince George's County the
fee for assignment and/or transfer of a license shall be One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00).

(d)   Charles County.—In Charles County the fee for assignment
and/or transfer of a license shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
