to follow immediately after Section 271 of said Code, and to be
under a new sub-title "Crimes and Punishments", providing a
penalty for fictitiously or falsely reporting to or falsely informing,
with knowledge of the falsity thereof, a law enforcement agency.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Anne Arundel County (1947 Edition), being Article
2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County", said new section to be known as Section
271A, to follow immediately after Section 271 of said Code, and to be
under a new sub-title "Crimes and Punishments", and to read as
follows:
271 A. Any person who shall make or cause to be made to any
Sheriff's office or to any Police Department within Anne Arundel
County, Maryland, or to any officer or member thereof, a false or
fictitious report of the commission of any criminal offense within said
county, or false or fictitious report of any other matter or occurrence
of which said Sheriff's office or Police Department is required to
receive reports, or in connection with which said Sheriff's office or
Police Department is required to conduct investigation, knowing
such reports to be false or fictitious; or who shall communicate or
cause to be communicated to said Sheriff's office or Police Depart-
ment, or any officer or member thereof, any false information con-
cerning the commission of any criminal offense within said county or
concerning any other matter or occurrence of which said Sheriff's
office or Police Department is required to conduct investigation,
knowing such information to be false, shall be punished by a fine not
exceeding $300.00 or by imprisonment not exceeding thirty days.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(House Bill 360)
AN ACT to add Section 12A to Article 36 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Fees of Officers", sub-title "Clerks
of Court", said new section to follow immediately after Section 12
thereof, giving to the several Clerks of Court in this State, with
the approval of the Comptroller, power to charge an additional
amount of fees over those specified in Section 12 of said Article 36
and relating generally to the exercise of such power.
