CHAPTER 341
(House Bill 244)
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Crimes and Punishments", said
new section to be known as Section 672A and to follow immediately
after Section 672 of said Article 27, making it unlawful to use or
operate any boat or vessel upon the navigable waters of this State
while the boats number, name or home port designation is know-
ingly concealed, covered or defaced, and providing penalties there-
for.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 27 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Crimes and
Punishments", said new section to be known as Section 672A, of said
Article, to follow immediately after Section 672 thereof, and to read
as follows:
672A. Every person, his aiders, abettors and counsellors, who shall
use or operate any boat or vessel on the navigable waters of this
State while the boat's number or name, or home port designation, as
assigned by the United States Coast Guard, or registered in any
United States Customs House shall knowingly be concealed, covered
or defaced shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon con-
viction thereof, shall be fined not less than $50.00 nor more than
$500.00, or be imprisoned in the Maryland House of Correction, for
