at Law", sub-title "Process", said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 159A and to follow immediately after Section 159 thereof,
relating to the service of process on any non-resident of this State
doing any business or performing work or services in this State.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 75 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Pleading, Prac-
tice and Process at Law", sub-title "Process", said new section to be
known as Section 159A and to follow immediately after Section 159
thereof, and to read as follows:

159A. Any non-resident, person, firm, partnership, general or
limited, not qualified under the laws of this State as to doing business
herein, who shall do any business or perform any character of work
or service in this State, shall, by the doing of such business or the
performing of such work, or services, be deemed to have appointed
the Secretary of State to be the true and lawful attorney or agent of
such non-resident, upon whom process may be served in any action
accrued or accruing from the doing of such business, or the perform-
ing of such work, or services, or as an incident thereto by any such
non-resident, or his, its or their agent, servant or employee. Service
of such process shall be made in the same manner and with the same
consequences as is provided for service on non-resident motor vehicle
owners or operators in Article 66 1/2, Section 113 (a)-(h), inclusive,
of this Code.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

(Senate Bill 422)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 66 to 86, inclusive of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Harford County (1942 Edition), being Article 13
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County", sub-title "Almshouse"; and to enact in lieu thereof eight
new sections to be known as Sections 66 to 73, inclusive, of said
Article, providing for the operation and management of the Har-
ford County Almshouse.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 66 to 86, inclusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Harford County (1942 Edition), being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County", sub-title
"Almshouse", be and they are repealed; and that eight new sections,
to be known as Sections 66 to 73, inclusive, of said Code and Article,
be enacted to read as follows:
