Maryland, title "Cecil County", sub-title "County Commissioners",
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

119. The County Commissioners of Cecil County are hereby
directed to levy, on the assessable property in Cecil County, annually,
the sum of [Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00)] Twenty-one
Thousand Dollars ($21,000.00)
for the purpose of assisting in the
maintenance and operation of the eight NINE volunteer fire com-
panies in Cecil County, in the following amounts? namely:; PRO-
VIDED, THAT IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR ANY OF THE
foLLOWING AMOUNTS, EACH OF THE SAID NINE VOLUN-
TEER FIRE COMPANIES NAMED HEREIN SHALL MEET THE
MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR AP-
PROVAL LAID DOWN BY THE HARFORD AND CECIL COUN-
TY VOLUNTEER FIREMEN'S ASSOCIATION.

Cecilton Fire Company, Inc. $2,400.
Hack's Point Fire Company, $1,000.
Charlestown Fire Company, Inc., $2,400.
Chesapeake City Fire Company, $2,400.

Singerly Fire Company of Elkton, $2,400 for operation and
maintenance and $800 for the ambulance.

North East Fire Company, $2,400.
Community Fire Company of Perryville, $2,400.
Water Witch Fire Company at Port Deposit, $2,400.
Rising Sun Fire Company, $2,400.

Levy shall be made in the month of June and the said sum of
money to be paid by the County Commissioners of Cecil County to
the said volunteer fire companies pro rata. The said County Com-
missioners are hereby directed to require each of the said volunteer
fire companies to file, annually, a fair statement of the value of
their respective fire fighting apparatus. Each of the said volunteer
fire companies shall also file with the County Commissioners a state-
ment of the number of fires to which their respective companies
were called during the previous year, the estimated value of the
property in which the fires occurred and the estimated loss to the
same by reason of any fire.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.
