ing the Board of Supervisors of Elections in Baltimore City to
furnish a list of registered voters to any candidate for any office
which pays a compensation at the rate of one-half cent 1/2) per
name.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sub-section (a) of Section 37 of Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Elections", sub-title "Reg-
istration", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
37.
(a). In Baltimore City at least twenty-nine days before every
general election, the Board of Supervisors of Elections shall cause
to be prepared from the registration cards a complete and official
registration list for each precinct, containing the names, party affili-
ations and addresses of all qualified and duly registered voters in
the precinct. The Board shall cause a copy of each precinct list to
be conspicuously posted and displayed at the polling place in each
such precinct not later than twenty-six days before such election
and [may provide a sufficient number of such lists, not to exceed
fifty lists of each precinct, for distribution to such candidates or
political parties as shall apply therefore IN THE GENERAL ELEC-
TION AND shall furnish such lists to any candidate for any office
which pays a compensation, EITHER IN THE PRIMARY OR GEN-
ERAL ELECTIONS at the rate of one-half a cent for each regis-
tered voter's name on the lists furnished.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 48 (15)
of Article 88B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "State Police", sub-title "State Police Retirement System",
providing that the term "average final compensation" shall mean
the average annual earnable compensation of a member of the
State Police Retirement System during bis last five years ef serv-
ice; THE FIVE CONSECUTIVE YEARS OF SERVICE DUR-
ING WHICH HIS EARNABLE COMPENSATION WAS HIGH-
EST, instead of the average annual earnable compensation during
his last ten years of service.
