372                               LAWS OF MARYLAND                        [CH. 257

Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County",
sub-title "Washington Suburban Sanitary District", be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

1595. (130-54). The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission
is hereby authorized and directed to adopt, formulate [and], promul-
gate and revise rules and regulations from time to time, whenever in
its judgment it may deem the same necessary or desirable,
for the
construction, installation, and equipment of gas fixtures, devices, and
connections from the outlet of the meter supplying any building,
within the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District as the same
is now created by law, or within any extensions or additions thereto,
with the right in said Commission to require a permit and to charge
a fee therefor. Such rules and regulations and any revisions thereof
shall be promulgated within [three months from June 1, 1943] thirty
days prior to their adoption
by advertising in two newspapers in both
Prince George's and Montgomery Counties that such rules and regu-
lations and/or revisions thereof [have been] will be adopted [and
that copies thereof are available to those interested] unless good cause
to the contrary is shown.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any of said
rules or regulations so adopted shall, upon conviction by any court
of competent jurisdiction, be fined not more than $100.00 or be
imprisoned not more than thirty (30) days, or both fined and im-
prisoned in the discretion of the Court.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

CHAPTER 257
(House Bill 680)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of
Worcester County to issue and sell serial maturity coupon bonds
upon the faith and credit of the County in an amount not exceed-
ing One and One-half Million Dollars ($1,500,000.00) for the pur-
pose of building and equipping two separate high school buildings,
one in or near the Corporate Limits of the town of Pocomoke
City and the other in or near the Corporate Limits of the town of
Snow Hill, and for equipping and acquiring a site or sites for the
same; authorizing the levy of taxes on the assessable property in
said County in an amount sufficient to provide funds for the pay-
ment of the principal and interest of said bonds as they mature and
become payable; providing for the expenditure of the proceeds of
the sale of the bonds upon the joint order of the County Commis-
sioners of Worcester County and the Board of Education of Wor-
