(House Bill 600)
AN ACT to add a, new section to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County, 1948 Edition, title 19 'Tensions", sub-title
"Police Department System", to follow immediately after Section
253, to be known as Section 253A, authorizing the County Com-
missioners of Baltimore County to increase the pensions of retired
policemen.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore County, 1948 Edition, title 19 "Pensions",
sub-title "Police Department System", to follow immediately after
Section 253, to be known as Section 253A, and to read as follows:
253A. The County Commissioners of Baltimore County are hereby
authorized to increase the pensions of retired policemen in order that
a retired policeman shall at all times receive a sum equal to one-half
of the salary of an active member of the Police Department of the
same rank the pensioner held at the time of his retirement.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 1595 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953
Edition), being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Washington
Suburban Sanitary District", and Section 130-54 of the Mont-
gomery County Code (1950 Edition), being Article 16 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Montgomery County",
sub-title "Chapter 130. Washington Suburban Sanitary District",
relating to the promulgation of the rules of the Washington Sub-
urban Sanitary Commission.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 1595 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1953 Edition), being Article 17 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Prince George's County", sub-
title "Washington Suburban Sanitary District", and Section 130-54 of
the Montgomery County Code (1950 Edition), being Article 16 of the
