CHAPTER 248
(House Bill 516)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 20 (f) of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-title "Beer, Wine and Liquor
Licenses," relating to the fee for Class C On Sale Beer, Wine and
Liquor Licenses in Frederick County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 20 (f) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-title "Beer, Wine
and Liquor Licenses," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
20.
(f) (Frederick County.) The annual fee for such license shall be
Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00). In Frederick County after June
1,1949, no such license shall be issued to any club which has not been
in business or regularly operating for at least three years prior to
applying for such license. Provided that this shall not apply to any
nationally chartered and recognized bona fide fraternal, charitable
or veterans organization.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add a new Section 9 (g-1) to Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages",
sub-title "Beer Licenses", to follow immediately after Section
9 (g) thereof, relating to the fee for Class B (On Sale) Beer
Licenses in Frederick County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 2B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Alcoholic Bev-
erages", sub-title "Beer Licenses", said new section to be known as
Section 9 (g-1) of Article 2B, to follow immediately after Section
9 (g) thereof, and to read as follows:
