WHEREAS, it is desirable specifically to repeal it in order to
remove any possible doubts as to the non-existence of this old and
obsolete section; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 100 of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1939 Edition), title "Revenue and Taxes", sub-title "Gross Re-
ceipts Tax", be and it is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 28 of
Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Frederick County", sub-title "Auditor", as said
section was amended by Chapter 336 of the Acts of 1939, author-
izing the County Commissioners of Frederick County to include
in their annual levy for taxes such sum as in their discretion
may be necessary to pay for the examinations, audits, accounts
and reports provided for by the sub-title "Auditor" in the Public
Local Laws of Frederick County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 28 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick County", sub-title
"Auditor", as said section was amended by Chapter 336 of the Acts
of 1939, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
28. The said County Commissioners are hereby directed and
authorized in their levy for taxes [made for 1940 to include therein
a sum not to exceed three thousand dollars to be used, or so much
thereof as may be necessary, to pay for the first examination, audit
and reports herein provided for and annually thereafter in the
levies made for taxes they are hereby directed to include a sum
not to exceed one thousand dollars, to be used, or so much thereof
as may be necessary, to pay for subsequent] to include therein such
sum as in their discretion may be deemed necessary from year to
year to pay for the examinations, audits, accounts and reports
herein provided for.
The County Commissioners shall, after asking bids from practical
printers, and accepting the lowest responsible bid, publish at least
two thousand copies of the annual report of the Auditor and shall
distribute by mail not less than one thousand copies to representa-
