notes and/or bonds as they mature, the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Charles County shall annually levy a tax upon the assess-
able property of the county sufficient to pay the annual interest on
said notes and/or bonds and to redeem them as they become due
until all the notes and/or bonds shall mature and be redeemed. The
taxes so levied shall be collected in the same manner as other taxes
are levied and collected in the County.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the Board of County
Commissioners of Charles County is hereby authorized and empow-
ered to do all acts and things necessary to issue and sell said bonds,
to have them registered as necessary and to issue negotiable promis-
sory notes and to do all things necessary to carry out the purposes
of this Act, even though the same may not be specifically mentioned
herein or in the laws applicable to the Board of County Commis-
sioners.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1955.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 10 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dorchester
County", sub-title "Taxes", said new; section to be known as Sec-
tion 200B and to follow immediately after Section 200A thereof,
exempting certain property in Dorchester County from county
taxation for ten years under certain conditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 10 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Dor-
chester County", sub-title "Taxes", said new section to be known as
Section 200B and to follow immediately after Section 200A thereof,
and to read as follows:
200B. The County Commissioners of Dorchester County are
hereby authorized and empowered for the purpose of encouraging
the location of factories, industrial establishments and hotels and the
like, in Dorchester County, to exempt from County taxes the land
and/or buildings, machinery and tools thereof, and therewith used,
for a period of not more than ten years from the date of the location
of such factories, industrial establishments, hotels or the like, and
to ratify any contracts made before the effective date of this Act
for the purpose of inducing the location of any factory, industrial
establishment or hotel in Dorchester County.
